2007-2008 - Lucky 7! We’ve hit the JACKPOT! This will be 7 Bar’s Luckiest Year yet. With a combination of Parents, Teachers & Staff working together and acting as PTA’s “Lucky Charms,” this school year will be another success.
Join PTA! With each membership you will receive a FREE PIZZA CARD that can be used at any 7 Bar PTA-sponsored event where pizza is being sold. Also, your name will be entered into a drawing for a gift card to Diamond Shamrock. You can also use your 2007-2008 PTA membership card to receive a 10% discount off of any book purchase made at the fall and/or spring Book Fairs.
As part of acting as our “Lucky Charm,” you should volunteer for one or more of the projects planned for this upcoming school year. Make sure you fill out a Volunteer form so that you are on the 7-Bar volunteer call list. Opportunities to help with PTA-sponsored events will also be listed in our weekly Wrangler newsletter, so don’t hesitate to call us when you see an event you'd like to help with.
Some new events this year are Kindergarten's “Boo Hoo Breakfast" and our First Annual “Fall Festival." Sometime in November keep watch for the “Holiday Dreams” catalog where there are all sorts of gifts to purchase.
We realize that many parents are simply not able to help out as much as they would like in the classroom or with PTA-sponsored programs. Here is another way you can act as our "Lucky Charm” – by participating in one of our many community partnership programs. Take a look at the partnership programs listed on this page, and then commit to having your everyday spending go farther.
PTA’s projects in the past have been bleachers for the gym, shade structures over the playground and 7 Bar's beautiful turf. Our goal this year is to add an Amphitheater to the playground. This can only happen with your continued support.
You must be a current 2007-2008 7 Bar PTA member to have your vote count at our general meetings. Our first general PTA meeting of the school year is Wednesday, September 5th, from 6:00-6:30pm (the evening of Open House). Your PTA membership not only gives you a voice at our school, but it also shows your student and the 7 Bar community just how committed you are to educational success here at 7 Bar. We hope to see & hear from you soon.
With Parents, Teachers and Staff working together we will definitely receive our JACKPOT at the end of the year.
